Description
The unmanaged fibre media converter features a plug-and-play design that does not require additional software or settings to be changed. The metal housing features an IP20 rating and is an all-in-one construction with integrated LC fibre and RJ45 ports. The RJ45 side features a metal tab to ensure a reliable and secure fit and prevent accidental disconnections.
The PoE media converter is designed to work seamlessly with any networking equipment that is PoE-capable and supports the 802.3af standard or higher. It comes equipped with a range of PoE protection features, including Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), and 2KV Surge Protection. The LC slot is compatible with Single-Mode (10km) and Multimode (800m) fibre cables up to 1Gbps. A spring-loaded tab protects the port when not in use. The converter supports LFPT (Link Fault Pass-Through), allowing IT administrators to monitor and assess network connectivity at a glance based on the LED behaviour.
This LAN-to-fibre converter is ideal for upgrading computers, switches, routers, or other equipment from copper to fibre. It suits various applications, including field deployments, industrial automation, telecommunications, broadcasting, data centres, and remote networking.
